Amanda is an experienced executive with a demonstrated history of achievements in the information services industry. She developed successful programs at large international corporations and co-founded two Silicon Valley start-ups.
At Google and Nielsen, she helped rethink data use, leading to increased profitability in existing international product lines and the creation of new business channels. At IMMI and Garageband, she led teams developing cutting-edge data collection solutions at the intersection of entertainment and technology.
Amanda has a keen interest in supporting non-profits in literacy and education. She sponsored pro-bono projects through Nielsen’s corporate social responsibility function, including a multi-year engagement assisting the World Food Programme in creating a mobile data collection solution for food insecurity reporting. She currently serves as a board member and Treasurer for Raising a Reader, a national leader in literacy and family engagement.
Amanda is a Ph.D in Linguistics and a Masters in English from Harvard University, and a BFA from NYU. Her doctoral work was focused on neural networks, and included living and working in developing countries in the Pacific.
Her early adventures included designing award-winning videogames as well as writing a data privacy book. She is also a pilot and an avid traveler who has worked in or visited more than 30 countries.
